This intensive 96-hour training in Imago Relationship Therapy leads to certification as an Imago Relationship Therapist (for therapists/clinicians) or a certified Imago Educator (for other professionals). This in-depth training will equip you to work successfully with the most challenging couples and relationship dynamics. Through this training you will move your professional skills to an advanced level and finally learn how to move a couple beyond the power struggle of their issues into a renewed level of empathic connection and commitment. As you develop your potential as a couples therapist you will also deepen your skills in working with groups and individuals while enhancing healing and growth in your own relationships.
Attunement to Attachment: Advanced Skill-Building with Challenging Couples
n Advanced Clinician course
Now that you are a skilled facilitator of the Imago Dialogue and have learned to deepen a couple’s Dialogue into the richness of the childhood stories under the frustrations, it may be time to polish your clinical skills of attuning to each couple’s/partner’s specific unmet needs and moving the Dialogue into a forward moving process full of positive, empowering, and focused interventions. Holding the hope of what is possible for each couple is one of the tasks of an Imago therapist. Moving a couple into that potential is our challenges. In this training we will delve into the deeper implications of the Cosmic and Psychological journeys as we learn(re-learn) how to identify the unmet needs, remain empathic with the adaptations, focus on the potential, and zero in on moving the Dialogue forward to target each couples’ unique story. We will work to switch any image of difficult couples into a vision of relentless hope. What greater spring theme could we be working with! Theoretically understanding the needs and potential is one thing, seeing the whole story and working with it in each session is the art of Imago. With the use of live demonstrations, videos of couples at various developmental stages, case histories, targeted stems and intervention taboos, we’ll aim to take your Imago artistry to a new level.
