Areas of Focus
Caroline is passionate about Imago Relationship Therapy and enjoys helping couples experience deeper connection, healing, wholeness, and joy in their relationship. She and her husband Jason are certified presenters for the Getting the Love You Want and Start Right, Stay Connected workshops of Imago Relationships International. They offer workshops several times a year and enjoy creating safe spaces for couples to learn and grow in connection. They are also certified facilitators for the award-winning “Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts” (SYMBIS) premarital program.
She has experience supporting adults and teens who are struggling with a wide variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety and stress, anger, self-esteem, grief and loss, sexuality, life transitions, communication, and interpersonal issues.
French and American, she has lived in Latin America and Europe and speaks French and Spanish fluently. She appreciates the richness and challenges of multiculturalism in relationships and families and enjoys helping clients find meaning and belonging in their unique cultural identity and heritage.
Parenting and Families
As a parenting coach and the mother of four children, Caroline helps families build healthier, more respectful relationships. She offers parents new tools to address misbehavior effectively and promote responsibility, encouragement, and cooperation in kids. She is also a leader with the Parent Encouragement Program (PEP) where she teaches classes for parents based on an Adlerian model of positive discipline. She has taught children of all ages and adults and worked with diverse at-risk youth and their families.
She believes in the importance of integrating mind, body, and spirit in any process of change. She affirms the potential for healing and growth in all people and seeks to create a safe and sacred space for clients through a collaborative counseling relationship that respects clients’ spiritual journeys.
A Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Caroline holds a Masters in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University of Maryland and a Masters in Education from Harvard University. She is certified as an Advanced Clinician and Workshop Presenter in Imago Relationship Therapy and is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA). She is currently the President of the Mid-Atlantic Association for Imago and Relationship Therapists.
She and her husband Jason have been married for 23 years and have 4 children. Their family has been greatly enriched by practicing Imago and PEP principles.
